Fifth Form History Competition

All current Lower Fifth pupils are invited to enter a History competition, in which they are asked to submit a piece of writing in response to the following title:

Choose one individual from History and justify why we should have to study him/her at school.

Responses must not exceed 3000 words and must be word processed.

The deadline for handing this into a member of the History Staff is 4th September 2015. Essays will be judged by members of the History Department on the quality of their written communication, their ability to persuade the reader and the quality of the historical research/content displayed. Extra credit will be given to those entries which discuss individuals who are not currently taught in depth at KEHS and thus have been more independently researched. Prizes will be awarded to a select few essays which are judged to be outstanding. The History Department look forward to receiving your entries! Good Luck!
